| For the past 6 months I enjoyed listening to your Radio. Computer tech tips , motivational points, tamil Comedy clips, punch lines from cinema and health tips are excellent work.
Setback of your radio is the song selections. What I don t understand is most of the songs played are LOVE FAILURE songs? Also,the songs are played for the meaning(love failure)not for quality music.
I hope the producer will play variety of the best songs. Playing classical base songs at times will definitely bring this radio to the top.Looking forward for the changes. |

I live in California and this channel really helps me with its variety of programs, audio snippets from comedy, philosophical useful hints.
I would like to see few more flavors here.
1. Help to keep the old comedies (Chandrababu/Nagesh/SuriliRajan/Cho/ThengaiSeenivasan/Thangavelu/NSK etc..) alive.
2. Have two slots of 30 minutes daily for old songs.
3. Would like to hear more of proper tamil pronounciation from program hosts.

Hope you are all doing great...I have one question, when I listen to Kalasam , that s 128k stream on TuneIn or any stream for that sake, whenever song s played the audio seems to fade (feeble) and there is a voice (some host speaks) the audio suddenly seems amplified ( louder. The audio pattern is irregular, just wanted to let you guys know. Alos the audio quality must be improved like GDBC that s very louder and crisp. |

| I have been a regular listener of Kalasam radio because of talks/jokes in between songs. I would request your song selections be more interesting like mixture. On 02/09/2012, all songs were from 1990s which i loved the most. Even today all songs were really good. But sometimes I hear only new songs or really unheard songs totally. Instead if you have varieties of songs everyday, it would be much more attractive.

Is it possible to add a Tamil logo to the web address in the URL like HSBC s web address starts with red H diamond, Karaitivu.com s web address starts with tamil letter "kaavanna". So when we pin the web address to the task bar, it can be easily identified as Kalasam.com based on its logo. Long life for Tamil. I see that it s different in many ways, esplly the cinema dialogues mixing and a song following the same situation is really kindling good feeling.

These are the things I would like to see coming....
1. When a song plays, at least movie name will help us track back to the movie. Or even a meta data (properties of the song) displayed in the media player will help us track back.
2. Do you have any podcast facilities? would love to get the maruthuva sessions...happy to pay a subscription to such podcasts.
3. Some history tidbits.....like nidha naalil andha kalathil....something that give lot of Tamil history! Our generation is soon be deficient of Tamil history, so other history would take it s place.
If you like my comments, let me know :) , I have some more interesting ones.....

Throughout the day, regardless of the mood I listen to music. Its sources are most often the radio station. Thank you for what you are doing this world better, broadcasting music as a soundtrack to life, report the information on issues.
I leave school and I want to go to learn as radio DJ. I want to bring into the world a little bit of good. When people have bad music to help them smile, believe in the beauty of life, and when a good mood - the music in his multiply.

I really appreciate your efforts to keep a lot of your listeners happy and content. Keep up the good work guys, the in between philosophical discourse from prominent speakers is always my favourite. As I write this comment, I listen to Ilayaraja s commentary on comparison of Mayamalava Goula ragam with Western music. What a legend he is.
It would be great to rope in Vaira Muthu in your programs. Awhile back he did a program for AahaaFM. I am longing for something similar at Kalasam.

Today (24-Jan) @ 9:40am (pst) I was listening to your program. There was a inspirational message about a musician who went to Afganistan and Russia and played some music without even know who written that musical notes. I had trouble in my network and lost the total conversation. Could you please send me some details about the message and who are those who was talking and whom was he mentioning in the talk. You, Kalasam, are truly awesome with all your programs, absolutely I m so
crazy about your joke tellings, wise word uttering and many many more.
I am 39 years old and I wish I could listen to you till I m old and die
while listening to one of your funny jokes-that for how I m so fond of
your radio.
I hope you may improve day by day without any trouble in your country.
Unfortunately I may only be able to listen your station while I m at my
office, when I m hone I get no better connection all your tunes due to
the line is stopped for many times and I may not get clear audio.
Do you may suggest me what is the best internet connection I must use for
my laptop for I may not be that smart to know this internet or computer
stuff.
Anyway, we in Indonesia especially, rarely get such wonderful time
enjoying tamil or anything related to our beloved tradition..our culture
is the stunningly beutiful.

Mainly we received many comments from our friends saying that kalasam is broadcasting all the time "asatha povathu yaru" program. It is been a pattern that after every other song there is a joke. We would love to hear more meaningful songs, messages and info. That s what the kalasam became popular. Please do not let it go the radio with only JOKES from "asathapovathu yaru". | I hear your radio thru iPhone, I really like your program, Unlike other radios where they play only songs or RJ s talking. Your Radio is different, It s informative as well as intresting. Like Clips from Talk shows (like Neeya Nana,aaratai aarangam, Suki sivam speach..lot more), Clips from Comedy Shows .
I do not see that you need any improvement, all that played as well as Playing are too good.

First off, let me congratulate you for the wonderful radio station you are operating. I listen to it all the time while I work.
Having said that, I hope you understand that there is always room for new ideas and improvement.
Here are a few suggestions
1. Add more tidbits like
- Dhinam Oru Kural
- Poems from Bharathiyar
- Stanzas from Tamil classics like Aganaanooru, Puranaanooru, Kambaramayanam etc
2. Dedicated programs like
- TMS hour, Pattukottai hour, T R Mahalingam hour, P B Sreenivas hour etc (play rare songs with some explanation on raaga, the situation of the song and any other interesting tidbits)
Once you make a good one hour program on these subjects, you can replay it many times.
- Drama time (S.Ve Shekar , Crazy Mohan dramas etc - you can also encourage new people who are making tamil drama in the US, Canada etc)
- Interviews with those who contribute to the language - like writers, poets, activists (non political) etc.
- Song Requests - you can have people emailing or phoning or SMSing their song requests - you can make a suitable arrangement based on your infrastructure.
Please let me know if these suggestions are helpful and I will think of some more things. Thanks !

Been a fan of your stream for a long time now. I just wanted to let you know that now, I am able to listen to your radio on my iPhone through the WunderRadio app. Many times, it is not realiable. I have to try multiple times to get it to connect to your rtsp server but it is a good start.
My only feedback is that your choice of songs sometimes make me wonder where you get them from. Request better songs ...pleease! The comedy strips and clips from sukhi sivam are definitely a great plus. Keep up the good work guys and thanks a lot... |

All of the programs are very supper :) I think, this is the first time I listen radio and couldn t stop anytime because of the valuable information that you provide each and every minute. Thanks a lot for all kind of tips. A couple of months ago, I started to listen. All of my family members like it very much. hmm.. any Suggestion.. May be better to put more general knowledge information about all countries (politics, tourist places, adventures, amazing place, inventors etc..) but.. still.. Kalasam provides excellent programs. SPECIALLY I LIKE IT VERY MUCH BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PROGRAM WHERE ALL THE MEMBERS HAVE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION LIKE THE TAMIL RADIO IN MONTREAL (mostly I hate.. waste of time listening their conversation) Thanks a lot again! Its really good to have you, I cannot live without kalasam after my work hours, you are really providing a valuable service.
I have the following comments.
1. Thirukural - I see Kural is given as a song, but it does not give the real meaning for that kural. It would be great if you can explain each Kural and give the valuable truth/real message that holds. Because some of the people doesn t know what that kural means and what it trys to say.
2. Include More Spiritual Comments Like, Bhagavath Geetha, Bible, Kuran etc., what ever the religion is. It will be more interesting if it give the real message which it try to delivers to its people/religion.
I hope this suggestions will help the user to understand the information easy and they love too.

I use to here the Kalasam.com maximum time. In your programmes Lot of Mahabharath short stories & Other excelent thought you are telling. Its very very usefull for the life.

When we do our housework, or work in the garden, we have our laptop playing Kalasam and it gets us going! I personally like the singer SPB and was surprised and pleased to see Kalasam having a collection of even the old vibrant SPB songs! You are doing a great service. U guys are doing a great job. Your database of old songs are really good. Some songs i remember hearing long ago when i was just a kid, and i dont even remember the movie s name, even those songs u r putting in your programs. One small request, if u could also mention the details of the songs, like the movie name, the year of release, the music director, the singers, etc. for these old songs, which are gems, it would be really useful to music lovers like me !!!
The computer tech. tips, motivational points, comedy clips, punch lines from cinema, etc. are really a relief from other radios which provide only songs which become real stale in the due course. One small request, if u could provide your computer tech. tips, and other tips in writing somewhere in your site, it will be really useful for people like me, who will benefit from it, when we have missed certain quips. we can browse through your site and be benefitted from all the important and useful infomation that u provide.
Tamizh paechu, engal moochu, is a really fresh breath to all of us away from our Tamizh Naadu. Keep up your good work guys.

the kalasam radio is one of the best i have heard oline. Congratulations for the gread job. we really enjoy the bits of facts,comedy,debates,asathapovathu yaru cuttings in between its really informative and entertaining.i would like to give a suggestion to the broadcast. yes, it would be complete if you could add new songs to the list. thats the only thing is lacking in the broadcast. please include new songs also.itwould be nice for us. i have to switch to other radios inbetween to hear new songs.please kindly consider my request.thanking in advance.

| I always have your FM, playing in the backgorund when I do research. I am persuing my PhD in Civil Engineering.Everyday there would be testing moments when doing research, this is completely taken out with your comedy/philosphical clips. These clips are really soothing. Each time the clips which has philosphical value are very encouraging. Ofcourse your songs of different ages are great too.
Suggestion: Hope you could avoid the repeatations of the clips (b/n songs). Specially when it repeats in the same day it makes the interest level go down.

| Hats of to your service. I have stopped hearing boring FM from chennai which always look the same. I was too annoyed hearing FMs from Tamilnadu which always broadcast the same thing. ie, they used to chat with unknown callers and they would dedicate songs for them. They used to ask the callers to sing a song or play a joke. Most of the time songs sung by callers would be annoying.
Your FM stands great ! Hats off to your service ! ! I like your Tamil very much ! Hearing your tamil reminds me of one old Bharathidasan song. "Tamillukku amudu yendru paer " |

| I like Kalasam FM very much because, unlike the other FM channels which always plays new songs, Kalasam plays more old songs and they are so pleasing to the ears. Also I like the Thiru. Suki Sivam s speech. Please continue broadcasting these.
I have one question. I m currently listening to this through Kalasam.com website. Can this be listened through radio also? If yes, what is the frequency that I should tune in?
